Travel: Nepal

With the civil war raging throughout the country, bombs going off all over Kathmandu and general strikes taking place for days at a time, our four months in Nepal were certainly event-filled. But, war or no war, we still had a great time, made some good friends, climbed some big mountains, survived some horrible dysentery and visited quite a few beautiful temples. And played a bit of basketball too.

Invited to a huge local 2-day-long wedding, we found ourselves in the middle of The Battle of The Massive Feasts and, whatever the result of that battle may have been, we were clearly the ultimate winners.
