Archbishop Desmond Tutu Nails It... Again

As a heroic fighter against apartheid, South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu, now 76 years old, knows bigotry and discrimination when he sees it. And he doesn't mind speaking up, even when he sees it in his own church. The quotes below are from an interview he just did with the BBC.

Check it out:

"Our world is facing problems - poverty, HIV and Aids - a devastating pandemic, and conflict. God must be weeping looking at some of the atrocities that we commit against one another. In the face of all of that, our Church, especially the Anglican Church, at this time is almost obsessed with questions of human sexuality."

Furthermore he went on to say that the Anglican Church seemed "extraordinarily homophobic" when it came to the issue of ordaining gay priests and he said he felt "saddened" and "ashamed" of his church over the issue.

"If God, as they say, is homophobic, I wouldn't worship that God."

You just gotta love Desmond!
